First off, thank you for being a member of the Swinburne Linux Hardware & Code Club! Your support means we can run many events throughout the upcoming semester.

Semester 2 is shaping up to be the biggest yet, and we’re excited to finally show you what events you can expect us to hold for Semester 2:

Swinux Semester 2 Visual Roadmap

As you can see from the roadmap, it’s jam packed with different events and opportunities for members to interact with their fellow club members, either online, in person or with other clubs!

We have different events running throughout Semester 2, including:

  • The Swinux Club Stall, where you can get goodies and meet the committee during Orientation Week.
  • FOSS Game Nights, where we gather online to experiment with Free and Open Source Games.
  • Academic workshops, allowing students to learn and upskill in new and interesting areas.
  • Club collaboration events, from semester parties to academic gatherings.

Although most dates are set in stone, we look forward to trying to squeeze as much into the semester as we can, so if dates shift we will let you know well ahead of time. Rest assured events will be announced via our channels and handled via Rubric.

Also upcoming is our Annual General Meeting, which means the club is looking for members to take over for the latter stages of 2026 and into 2027. Several members are stepping down as they have graduated, so we look forward to seeing new students take the reins and make the club better and better.

We look forward to seeing you at one of our events, and best of luck for Semester 2!
